You might remember how people used to flee carbohydrates like it was the pest, and now we’re being told fat is the one to blame. Am I right? Well… I don’t believe the reason was carbohydrates, but that it had to do with bad eating habits. Bad habits which consisted of too much refined carbs, sugars and all in the wrong amount. If I take another wild guess, then I think that the people who suffered from love handles probably didn’t work out that much, or at all either. More likely they sat on the couch cramming lasagne, sweets and bread in the evenings in front of the TV, reaching way more than their daily calorie needs.
Think about it, what keeps the fit good-looking athletes going? You got it! Carbohydrates! What have we learned from that so far? Carbohydrates aren’t dangerous. In fact, carbohydrates are necessary for our bodies to function to perform on optimum level. Simply stay away from refined carbohydrates, eat the good ones combined with lots of vegetable, a healthy amount of meat or fish and then this devil called fat!
Fat won’t kill you Fat is not a bad thing, fat is actually essential for the body to function at it’s best levels. It is a necessary building stone to make up a healthy body. Fat also regulates hormones (if you have screwed up hormones, you wont perform well on your workout or do good on a diet either), it slows down digestion which makes you feel fuller and longer. Fat also transports nutrients through your body and helps to keep your skin and other tissue healthy too. So in the name of the fitness god, eat fat!
